The Olivia Award
I was honored earlier this month by receiving the 2003 Olivia award for my work on American Longevity. The Olivia award is awarded annually for the best design of 2003 from IDI. It was one of the most enjoyable projects I worked on last year and helped me move forward in my understanding of CSS. Since the American Longevity launch, here at IDI we have concentrated on doing all of the websites in CSS/XHTML here at IDI.
Some of the other notable sites launched by IDI with CSS/XHTML designs this last year are: arrayexpress.net, CougarConnexions Portal Page, IBOCity, worldbizconnect.com, and there are more to come in the coming year. Unfortunatly some of the designs are behind password protection, but we still keep the same CSS/XHTML goals with them.

Color
What we do with color is essential to design. Complementary, duo tone, monochromatic, the color of the year, or however you go about choosing your color effects the way people see your site. Each color can change the mood and feel of a design.
I have been collecting lately a list of online color scheme generators. They do a great job or many different color schemes to choose from.
