Aspen Leaf

I recently finished three paintings for our front room. It has an Aspen leaf motive. Each painting is has a single aspen leaf in the middle. It goes perfect with our new couch. It was fun doing some traditional art as apposed to the digital art I do everyday. The three paintings must be together to get the full effect. Each one is about two inches apart from each other. The medium used is Acrylic paint.

SEO Works great with CSS/XHTML layouts
A List Apart ran a great article on improving Search Engine Optimization by using XHTML/CSS. I would have to concur a 100% that it improves SEO a great deal. I was went to check our some the recent sites I have built with like, American Longevity. I did a search on the H1 on the index page and it showed up as number one listing on google. I aslo did several searches on their products and found them to be listed on the first page of a search in google. Improving SEO, is a huge benefit for any company’s website, so take the time to code properly, so google and other search engines know how to index your site.

The Latest Style
That style would be CSS. It will not only be the latest style but the style to continue to take over web development. I have seen lately, a greater number of companies and individuals switch over to xhtml/css standards for their website. So why do I bring this up, well there are few still out there that advocate against using CSS, I don’t understand their reasons but the advantages out weigh any argument against css. I just finished presenting a lesson on CSS here at IDI. I covered the what, why, and how. It is great to see everyone interested in understanding CSS and its advantages. Once you show someone all of the advantages of CSS, it is hard to look back at that the old ways.
Take a look at the presentation slides and you can see what was covered.
